Since 1955, we’ve stood beside the hardworking contractors who keep Florida’s homes and businesses running. What started as a fund for roofers has grown into something greater: a community-driven solution built around trust, savings, and support for all licensed trades.
Now rebranded as BrightFund, we’re bringing that same legacy into the future, expanding to serve electricians, plumbers, HVAC specialists, and more without losing sight of the values that got us here.
To protect, empower, and advocate for Florida’s licensed trades through dependable workers comp coverage, safety-first programs, and member-first service.
Do the right thing, even when no one’s watching.
Built by and for contractors.
Decades of industry experience with real-world insight.
99% member retention doesn’t happen by accident.
When you need us, we show up.
Meet the team behind the trust. BrightFund is led by experienced professionals who understand the risks, and the rewards, of licensed trades. We don’t just write policies. We build long-term relationships.

We’re proud partners of the Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association, Inc. (FRSA) and continue to collaborate with key associations across trades to support education, safety, and innovation in the field.
Yes, we’ve rebranded to better reflect our expanded service to all licensed trades, but we’re still the same fund with the same member-first values.
In the state of Florida, all construction businesses with one or more employees, including non-exempt business owners, are required to carry workers comp coverage. It’s not just a good idea, it’s the law.
While coverage may be statutory, the experience you get with your carrier is anything but. At BrightFund, as a company built by contractors for contractors, we focus on the construction industry. From expert claims handling to proactive safety support and a team that knows your trade, we provide more than coverage, we offer partnership. What truly sets us apart? Our people, and the lasting relationships we build with our members.
Our current focus is on roofing, sheet metal, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors. If you’re in one of these trades and meet our qualifications, we’d love to talk.
Yes. To be eligible for coverage, your business must have at least five full-time employees and an annual payroll of $200,000 or more within the applicable construction classification code.
At this time, we require businesses to have a minimum of 12 months of active workers compensation coverage to be considered for membership with BrightFund.
Absolutely. Send your subcontractors’ certificates of insurance (COIs) to certs@brightfund.com, and our team will verify that their workers comp coverage is active and compliant.
We work with a trusted network of appointed agents, but if your current agent isn’t on our list yet, no problem. Have them fill out an interest form on the Agents page of our website to learn how to become part of the BrightFund community.
Yes, and our dividend returns consistently outperform the market. When safety wins, everyone benefits. It’s just one more way we give back to the hardworking contractors who power our fund.
